Learn more about this coffee
85% of KCRS cooperative members grow their coffee above 2,000 meters altitude, on small family plots using polyculture. Between the coffee trees, they grow beans, legumes, and sweet potatoes – enough to ensure both regular income and food self-sufficiency.
This batch is produced exclusively by women farmers: they have taken over the farms, often with the cooperation of male family members. The coffee is sourced through the renowned Kinini station. KCRS was founded in 2008 through the "A New Beginning" charity project, which aimed to assist populations displaced after the 1994 genocide.
In a decade, Kinini has become a model of local development, combining coffee excellence and a strong social impact.
